Women of Impact

“Life Lessons of Leadership and Longevity in Commercial Real Estate”

CREW Network’s recent white paper “Women in Commercial Real Estate 2010” shows that the proportion of women with 20+ years of experience in commercial real estate has increased since 2005. By the same token, many more women have entered the commercial real estate field since 2005. Is this a sign of positive trends in the industry for women?

This whitepaper provides the framework for observations and comments by a panel of CREW Philadelphia Past Presidents. Join us to hear from some of our past leaders – How do they define success? Do they consider themselves successful? What attracted them to commercial real estate? Did CREW play a role in their career? Was a mentor important? What worked for them; what didn’t? Is there a glass ceiling? Has the industry perception of women changed?

Leading off our discussion of women in commercial real estate will be Ann Waeger of Farer Fersko in Westfield, NJ.  Ann is an attorney and a member of the 2011 Board of Directors of the CREW Network; she will be highlighting the benefits of CREW membership and how the Network can help us all be successful.  Ann will be followed by a lively conversation led by a panel of distinctive past presidents of CREW Philadelphia.
