Tell us what you do:

For over ten years I have provided accounting and auditing services to a variety of industries including real estate and construction as well as employee benefit plans. I am also a firm champion for the Women of Mazars group, focused on the attraction, retention and advancement of women leaders.

Who are your clients?

My clients consist of General contractors, subcontractors of various trades and homebuilders. My clients range from sole proprietors to multibillion dollar publicly traded companies.

What is your latest success?

In October 2016 I was promoted to Senior Manager at Mazars USA, LLP and selected for the firm’s Women of Mazars Sponsorship Program which is focused on developing high-performing women professionals at Mazars to ultimately strengthen the talent pipeline for Partnership. I also serve as the Treasurer of Lyric Fest, a nonprofit focused on bringing people together through the shared experience of song.

If you could pass on one piece of advice to a woman entering into your field, what would it be?

Communicate and set expectations – technology today can allow for a lot of flexibility as long as you communicate and set expectations.

What was your first job in real estate?

Eight years ago I was a staff level auditor working on my first audit of a general contractor. My introduction to real estate included performing testing on labor, subcontractor and material costs.

Who has been your greatest mentor?

Lisa Minniti-Soska – real estate group partner at Mazars USA LLP – Lisa is one who leads by example and is always there to provide advice and support.

What is your next big challenge?

Continue to grow and develop while making sure my clients are ready for the upcoming revenue recognition accounting changes.
